The ROCLYNN   kennel was established with the arrival of the first Rough Collie in  Paul’s  ownership  1981. The Choice of breed being largely inspired by  the late  Clare (click) whose connection with Rough Collies stretched back to her days accompanying her own brother John to shows in the mid ‘50’s…….

Above, two of Johns Green Star winners from that period, “handled” by a very young Carmel.  Of Beulah/Ladypark lines they were the sire and dam of Champion Fleeting Moments, campaigned to her title in 1957 by the late P.J.Sinnott, founder of the
All Ireland Collie & Sheepdog Society.

2001, and Carmel again, this time on the day she handled Champion Roclynn Kiss & Tell ( who is also featured  centre on the home page,in typical Roclynn mode, together with her dam and grandson) to her title.

We have as a family , since first exhibiting together in  ’81, maintained a small kennel, of literally  just a  handful of Collies and breeding only  the occasional litter to further the line but all of them  consistent in our aim for Collies of character excelling in sweetness and soundness in equal measure.

Enquiries and visitors from home and abroad always welcome.
